Along the southern bank of the Peaqua Creek sits Peaqua Valley Farm. The Amish family farm and creamery in Ronks, PA, produces amazing flavors of creamy yogurt from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows. The journey began in 2003, when Abner King began making yogurt to help make his small farm profitable. The work was hard and the return was minimal at first, but by connecting with PA Dutch farmer’s markets throughout Pennsylvania and the region, word of the delicious yogurt spread and a loyal customer base was formed! Today, five grass-fed farms in Lancaster County provide the Jersey cow milk that goes into Peaqua Valley’s beloved yogurt - milk that is rich with a high butterfat content and free of hormones. The result is a sweet yogurt that bursts with flavor and boasts a custard-like texture.
